The Club Company
Our clubs offer a variety of facilities, including gym, group fitness studios, swimming pools, wet spa, crèche, health and beauty, tennis, championship golf courses, bar, restaurant and lounges with free Wi-Fi.
5 of our Country Clubs offer accommodation on site, ranging from 7 to 56 bedrooms.
We have approximately 40,000 members and employ around 600 permanent people.
We are proud to be members of UKActive, and have won several prestigious Flame Awards (at both club and operator level) which recognise high levels of service within the health and fitness industry.

The Club Company
Following a strategic review, all sites without Health and Fitness planning consent were disposed of between 2000 and 2003. In April 2004 the company was taken private by way of MBO backed by Legal and General Ventures. In 2006 the company was acquired by Boundary Capital backing a second MBO. Since Lone Star acquired the company in 2014, The Club Company has invested significantly in its own portfolio as well as acquiring new sites (Wharton Park in December 2015 and Woodbury Park in November 2016).

Championship Golf Courses
Golf membership with The Club Company includes reciprocal access to all golf courses within the group (excluding Castle Royle which is a members-only club). Other benefits of golf membership include complimentary access to the club’s health & fitness facilities, as well as discounted membership rates for your family, and of course the opportunity to hold an official club handicap and participate in club competitions.
Thanks to James and the other staff at Benton Hall I have noticed a significantly improved quality of life. After my lung removal operation, I felt very lethargic and my back was seizing up but now my energy levels and mobility have greatly improved.
In less than a year I managed to lose 4 stone, run my first 10k, and do a 13k spartan obstacle course. I wouldn't have been able to do any of it without the fantastic support and advice I received from the staff at Chartham Park.
I joined with my husband Ben in 2008 and have since become avid users of all the facilities. Our three children are thriving in swim school and we use the club together as a family as much possible.
I train 3-4 times per week as well as using the gym and sauna. So far I have dropped my weight from 18 ¼st to 15st 6lbs in 3 months. I achieved this with the valuable help of the trainers who put my workout together to push me along. They give me great support - thank you!
I find the club has a relaxing and friendly environment with helpful, welcoming staff. I immediately felt comfortable at the club which in turn improved my motivation to get myself in shape. This has led to a loss of over 9 stone since joining 3 years ago.
After a day in the office I look forward to escaping to the Club to physically challenge myself in a friendly, professional environment before relaxing in the pool and sauna. The result is typically an appetite for some more good food and a restful night's sleep. Thanks to the team who help create this environment.
I recently had a bad back and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. They gave me great advice on the best exercises to do while recovering. What's even better is that the TGS keys have all your workouts on so you can track your progress and see how you’ve improved.
At first I was quite unsure and nervous about using weights but with James' coaching I now love it and wouldn't go without it. Every couple of weeks we had a review and he introduced me to new exercises. I have really noticed the difference in my body and strength.
I want to stay strong as I get older, and also stay fit for golf. I have started doing intense weight training sessions plus cardio 4-5 times a week and have already dropped 2 shots off my handicap!
I have been really impressed with the new layout of the gym. The new functional area is brilliant! It allows me to experiment with new exercises with the help of the enthusiastic gym team. They are always there to offer help and assistance. They are friendly and approachable, which I think is a big plus in a gym environment, giving me confidence to keep coming back.
