“Perimenopause makes me feel tired and emotional,” Kate shares honestly. “But dance has been amazing for my mental wellbeing and energy levels.”
For Kate, dance isn’t just exercise, it’s a lifeline. She’s found that dancing, swimming, time in the sauna, and Pilates have all made a noticeable difference in how she feels day-to-day. These activities help lift her mood, boost her energy, and keep her body moving even when fatigue hits.
“The club has helped me so much,” she says. “I’ve made friends here, and dancing especially helps my mood and energy. Even when I’m feeling low, I push through the tiredness and keep showing up.”
Her advice to other women just beginning their menopause journey is simple but powerful: “Keep pushing through and turning up!”
Kate’s determination to stay active has paid off in countless ways. She’s seen her confidence, energy, and wellbeing grow since prioritizing her fitness and embracing the activities she loves. “It massively helps,” she says, with a special nod to her favorite outlet: “Especially with dance.”
Beyond the benefits to her own health, Kate has found something equally important: community. “We have a great dance group now, and we all support each other,” she says with a smile. “I’ve made friends for life - and I love to dance!”
Kate’s story is a joyful reminder that even when menopause brings challenges, movement, community, and a bit of rhythm can make all the difference.
